I grew up on Colorado’s western slope in a small farming community. I was fortunate to have a very talented grandmother who was willing to teach me the homemaking skills she had learned growing up on a farm in the early 1900’s. I learned crochet, knitting, embroidery, sewing, canning, baking (including homemade breads and pies), and cooking which included her wonderful egg noodles!

I developed a love for creating things that others would enjoy. This is why I love soap making because it provides plenty of opportunity to be creative in textures, colors, aromas and shapes
