I grew up on Colorado’s western slope in a small farming community. I was fortunate to have a very talented grandmother who was willing to teach me the homemaking skills she had learned growing up on a farm in the early 1900’s. I learned crochet, knitting, embroidery, sewing, canning, baking (including homemade breads and pies), and cooking which included her wonderful egg noodles!
